This statement is true. When Philip has described what he wants, the shop assistant (Nina) says "I have just the thing here". This means "I have exactly what you need right here". "Just the thing" means "the perfect item". Here's another example: "When you're feeling tired, a cup of strong coffee is just the thing (to wake you up)!".
